If you follow Ciao paolo's 4 steps towards health, improvement is guaranteed. Even following a few of the steps will improve your health. It's your life, your choice. If you are looking to make any changes then it is advisable to ask for help and support from you friends / family / loved ones. It may take 3 weeks or so for your body to adjust to the changes so committment and will power are required. For smoking cessation or food cravings will power alone is normally not sufficient, we can refer you to our hypnosis practitioner.
Step1: Give up smoking
Yes, you know all about the serious ill health statistics associated with smokers don't you? You don't need me to mention cardiovascular disease (heart attacks and strokes), lung cancer, oral cancer.... but did you know smoking also damages your gums? How about the benefits of giving up? Feel better, look better, fresh breath, more money, improve your breathing, live longer. Ladies, better skin / hair / nails? We can help you to give up. Smoking is 85% unconscious and 15% conscious. We would recommend referral to our hypnosis practitioner to deal with the unwanted thoughts images, feelings or emotions which trigger smoking behaviour.
Step 2: Proper Nutrition
Good nutrition is essential for health. Do you want to sustainably lose weight and improve your health and wellbeing? We are not talking about useless diets. Most diets fail and weight loss is temporary because the emotional trigger for the food craving is not dealt with. If you are one of those people then as well as changing your nutrition you need to address the emotional triggers by referring to our section on stress and anxiety. Please refer to our separate section on nutrition.
Step 3: Increased Activity
You don't need to be an athlete! How would you like to lose weight, feel better, look better, improve your breathing, help to deal better with stress / anxiety / depression and reduce your risk for cardiovascular disease (heart attacks and strokes), cancer, osteoporosis and adult onset diabetes?

• Cycle to work
• Walk to the shops
• Take the stairs
• Go for a swim
• Do a litter pick up in your local area - involve the kids!
• Go for a walk

• Do an exercise class
• Join a walking club

Scotstoun Leisure Centre is a world class facility and will host many of the events for Glasgow's Commonwealth games in 2014. It is open and accessible for all sections of society. Many senior citizens have membership, enjoy classes and have a supervised activity programme managed by excellent caring staff.
